Crown Coast Umbrella Review

Yellow is my favorite color, so I was so excited to come across this gorgeous bright yellow umbrella from Crown Coast Umbrellas. This umbrella is compact, great for travel but also heavy duty. This thing stands up to wind! We have been having some pretty windy weather lately, and I haven't had any issues at all with the umbrella turning inside out which usually happens to me because I usually buy cheap umbrellas. Trying to save some money, I actually cost myself more by always needing new umbrellas each season.

Really the Crown Coast Umbrella isn't even expansive, it is selling right now for only $18.95 shipped if you have prime on Amazon. It comes in the gorgeous yellow I picked, and also Blue, Pink, Turquoise and White.

This umbrellas has a lifetime guarantee, has an auto open/close, full canopy that closes up to travel size. It is also windproof 60+ miles an hour!

I was sent this umbrella at a discounted price in exchange for a honest review.

Amazon introduces Handmade

Amazon launched Handmade at Amazon, an Etsy-like virtual storefront where artisans can sell their handcrafted wares. With strict criteria, it should be a huge rival to Etsy who recently started allowing non-handmade items on their site. I'm pretty excited about what it has to offer. They already have over 1,000 products!

Cedar Point Halloweekend

Our first attempt at HalloWeekends ended up with my tire almost falling off my car. 3 of the 5 bolts holding it on sheared right off. We had to get a tow truck and spent almost $600 getting towed all the way back home. Talk about upsetting. Then I had to fight with Days Inn to refund my money. After days of back and forth emails, I got back my payment, but not the points I spent. It took contacting them on facebook to see results, so remember social media really helps with business complaints!

Last weekend we tried again, and finally made it. We had to wait for my daughter to finish dance on Wednesday, so we headed out after 3:30 hoping to catch a few hours Saturday night. It ended up pouring the entire way, so we went checked into our hotel and shopped a little bit Ollies.

After that, the rain was only drizzling, so I decided to check it out. We were able to get there 10 minutes before  Sideshow - A Carnival of Magic started which was inside, so it was perfect! The show was really fun to watch. It was magic with dancing which was totally perfect for my girls to watch. It's fun seeing things you can do with dance as an adult. When the show was done, it had stopped raining! YEAH!

We did some of the haunted houses, walked through some of the fright areas. My 14 year old wasn't loving it, but she did good. We were also able to ride the Maverick 3 times in a row from 11 - 12 with barely any waits. It was amazing! Next to Dragster, Maverick seems to be one of the longest lines.

The next day ended up being beautiful. The park doesn't open till 11am, as we were walking in my husband and I ended up going back to car. I needed to change from boots to tennis shoes and my husband totally changed into shorts. I think the weather got just under 70 at the warmest part of the day.

There isn't anyone scaring you on Sunday, so that was nice for the kids. We did do a few of the haunted areas which were fun. Hexed was my favorite, the makeup was amazing. A lot of the make up is on the gory side, but Hexed wasn't like that. Loved it! The new Fear-y Tales was pretty cool too.

We renewed our passes and got free Fast Lane Plus, so that helped get everything done in one day. We rode the Dragster twice which I wasn't expecting at all. We also hit all the roller coasters we wanted at least once. Wanted to do Maverick again, but it was closed when we walked by. I'm already excited for next year!

Cedar Point

This year our dance nationals is at Kalahari Waterpark. The schedule is every other day, so we decided to buy Platinum Passes at Cedar Point to spend a few days there and then drive down to Kings Island for a few days. Haven't been to Cedar Point in several years, love going!

Finally got my kids to like roller coasters for the most part. Between the 2 of them, I can pretty go on everything.

My favorites are Dragster, Millennium Force and Maverick. I'm obsessed with Dragster, could go on it all day long. Too bad it is the longest lines and always goes down.
