The Ultimate Cloth Review + Free Offer Available

I've mentioned before that I care deeply about the environment.  I probably have also mentioned that I'm a terrible housewife.  I hate cleaning, cooking, etc ~ all the typical things you associate with a stay at home mom.  With that said, I'm always on the look out for a product that will make my life easier + doesn't harm the environment or my kids {of course!}.

Thanks to Mama Buzz, I have found a new product to add to my cleaning arsenal ~ The Ultimate Cloth.

The Ultimate Cloth is eco-friendly solution for homes as well as a money and time saver. The Ultimate Cloth is a brand new technology – in fact, it is the only cloth to receive a new patent in the last 25 years.  The Ultimate Cloth is a simple, green and effective one-step cleaning process.  The Ultimate Cloth cleans any hard surface – glass, wood, granite, stainless steel and many more – with just water!  No longer do you have to use harsh chemicals in your home, nor do you need spend hundreds of dollars per year buying them.  The Ultimate Cloth has been lab tested to remove 96% of bacteria, without the use of chemicals.  And, can cut 50% off your cleaning time.  The Ultimate Cloth is truly the ultimate in green cleaning.

When I received my ultimate cloth, I couldn't wait to try it out.  It is pretty thin, but a nice size.  I love the idea that you can clean with no cleaners.  Makes my life so much easier, plus no yucky smells.  The first thing I cleaned was my bathroom mirrors. I don't know  what my girls do, but they get so dirty.  I just used a bit of water & rubbed them clean.  It was pretty cool how easy it was.  Then I tried the windows with the same results.  I'm impressed.  I haven't tried anything yet, so we will see how it holds up.  If you fold it into quarters and use flat, you actually get 8 sides to use.  This will clean a lot of stuff in your house!

  • Clean and Polish windows, mirrors, windshields, glass - all hard surfaces - & many soft surfaces such as leather and vinyl.
  • Leaves a streak free, spot free, lint & dust free finish using NO chemicals or paper towels.
  • One step process cuts cleaning time in half - verified by professionals!!
  • Household - Besides your windows, glass & mirrors.....it's great for shower doors, bathroom tile, countertops, appliances - including stainless steel, corian, granite, marble, glass-topped appliances. Computer screens, TV screens, framed artwork, glass Patio Tables, Sporting Equipment and much much more.
  • Autos - bumper to bumper - inside & out - it will sparkle!!.
  • , Boats and RV's - Safe for Lexan, pain, chrome...Convenient as it travels with you - just dampen & clean wherever you are.
The Ultimate Cloth comes in 2 sizes ~ The standard (13.5 x 15.5) that I reviewed and the Bad Boy (45% bigger)

You can purchase them here.   Pricing starts at just $6 for the standard.

Something for my readers ~
All of you can receive a FREE Ultimate Cloth!

Pillsbury Ready to Bake Thanksgiving Shape sugar cookies

Can you believe Thanksgiving is only 1 week away?  I have to be honest, Thanksgiving is not one of my favorite holidays.  My kids seem to enjoy it though, so I try really hard to do fun things around this time.  Plus sneak in some being thankful lessons :)

One thing I do enjoy about Thanksgiving though is that we are one step closer to Christmas.  Before the stores got all crazy and started putting out Christmas stuff months and months early, Thanksgiving seemed to mark the official Christmas season.

In keeping with that feeling, why not start you cookie baking early with Pillsbury?  They have the cutest cookies out right now that are shaped like Turkeys.  How adorable is that?  Just place the sugar cookies on your baking sheet, pop them into the oven, and within minutes you´ll have delicious home-baked treats to share with your kids.

These fun Thanksgiving themed cookies are only available a short time, so pick them up while you can!  MyBlogSpark and Pillsbury sent me a cute little Thanksgiving Fun Pack.  Great news though, they have the same gift pack for one my readers!

Since Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching, this will be a quick contest.  Entering is super easy ~

Just leave a comment sharing with me how you make Thanksgiving fun.  If you take Thanksgiving more seriously, then tell me what Thanksgiving means to you or what you enjoy about the holiday.  I'm looking for ideas though, so please share.  I'm actually working the Lions game, so I need to leave some stuff for the kids to do while I'm gone.  Don't want them driving hubby and grandparents too crazy, lol.

Bed Bouquet Review & Giveaway

There is nothing better then getting into bed with fresh washed sheets.  That freshness sadly only lasts a few days.  What to do in the mean time?  Bed Bouquet to the rescue!

From the website ~

The general concept surrounding the creation of Bed Bouquet was to develop an apparatus that would be physically unnoticeable to the sleeper, yet, emit a soft fragrance throughout the bed sheets for weeks in order to eliminate the need for daily application.

It was also important to ensure that the unit be designed to avoid all chemical-to-skin contact that could lead to irritation. The results, a specially designed fragrance pad with a pliable housing and adhesive backing that when placed on the mattress contours with the sleeper’s body position, thus, going undetected.
The top openings of the apparatus allow a mild and tantalizing scent to permeate throughout the sheets giving consumers daily enjoyment of their selected fragrance. Bed Bouquet uses only the finest oils to capture the essence of the fragrance and all oils are certified by the International Fragrance Association.
My thoughts ~ I think it is a great product.  It is very small and easily slips under your bed.  I do suffer from bad headaches, so the scent was a bit strong when it was near my head.  I love the scent, unfortunately my head did not.   I ended up moving the packet near my feet and it was a perfect solution for me.

The scent is gentle and refreshing, yet not overpowering.  If you like a lot of scent just place it near the top of your bed, under your pillow area. If you want a little less you can [lace about midway in the bed or even near the feet like I did.   The Bed Bouquet lasts about 30 days.  Plus it really does stick and stay in place.  That was one doubt I had, and the Bed Bouquet came through!

Plus with every online order of Bed Bouquet product purchased they provide a free Bed Care eBook.  This book is jam packed with information including bed bugs, how to get a good nice sleep and how to wash your sheets and pillows, etc.

Giveaway Alert ~ Bed Bouquet is offering two of my readers a 2 pack of Bed Bouquets!

To enter ~ Visit Bed Bouquet and check out all of their great products. Then, come back here and tell me which is your favorite scent.

Microsoft Office Live ~ 5GB of Online storage!

I recently learned about Microsoft Office Live thanks to Mom Central, and I am in love!  Microsoft Office Live is a set of free, easy-to-use online tools.  With being a mom on the go, having a home business, these tools have now become essential in my life!

What you get {for free!} is an online space to store, share, and remotely access your documents and files.   They actually give you 5GB of online storage.  Plus you can upload virtually any file type.

When you log on to Office Live Workspace, you can create a workspace for a specific event or project, and choose among dozens of templates that can help get you started and stay on track along the way.

Microsoft Office Live stores all the templates and documents online so you can update the document you started at work on your home computer, or vice versa. You can use Microsoft Office Live to manage extracurricular activities, work projects, travel schedules, and even job searches.

The other Office Live service, Office Live Small Business, can help you easily create a simple but professional-looking website for a school event, sports team, or to help get your new business off the ground. Starting with one of the Office Live Small Business website templates, you can quickly build a website, even if you aren't an expert in HTML or web design. Plus, web hosting and design tools are all free.

Since discovering this wonder on the internet ~ I have been using it in many aspects of my life both as a mom and business owner.  We do a lot of fundraisers for dance, so I've been using it to organize the various flyers, etc that we have.

It is also great if you do any work for the PTA, your school in general or even if you homeschool.  Think of the ease of being able to pull up your childs documents from anywhere.

If you are a student, you can access your files at home, on your laptop, at the library, at your friends while studying!  There are just so many possibilities.

I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Microsoft Office Live. Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.Like this post ~

Book Review & Giveaway ~ Jantsen's Gift

Thanks to Hatchette Book Group & Mama Buzz, I was given the opportunity to read a wonderful story ~ Jantsen's Gift by Pam Cope with Aimee Molloy.

Jantsen's Gift is a true story about Pam Cope.  Pam owned a cozy hair salon in the tiny town of Neosho, Missouri, and her life revolved around her son's baseball games, her daughter's dance lessons, and family trips to places like Disney World. She had never been out of the country, nor had she any desire to travel far from home.

Then, on June 16th, 1999, her life changed forever with the death of her 15-year-old son from an undiagnosed heart ailment.

Needing to get as far away as possible from everything that reminded her of her loss, she accepted a friend's invitation to travel to Vietnam, and, from the moment she stepped off the plane, everything she had been feeling since her son's death began to shift. By the time she returned home, she had a new mission: to use her pain to change the world, one small step at a time, one child at a time. Today, she is the mother of two children adopted from Vietnam. More than that, she and her husband have created a foundation called "Touch A Life," dedicated to helping desperate children in countries as far-flung as Vietnam, Cambodia and Ghana.

Pam Cope's story is on one level a moving, personal account of loss and recovery, but on a deeper level, it offers inspiration to anyone who has ever suffered great personal tragedy or those of us who dream about making a difference in the world.

Wow, what a book.   Jantsen's Gift is not only tear jerker, but an incredibly moving book.  Being a mom, I really related with Pam Cope in her life prior to her tragedy.  As you read Pam's story, you won't only feel the sadness of loss, but inspiration!

Not only will you cry throughout this book, but you will laugh as well.  I think that is what makes the book even better.  Plus you will look at your life differently.  Such a great read, truly inspiring.

If you do book clubs, this would be a great pick.  Hatchette even provides a reading group guide to assist in your group.

Hatchette did send me a courtesy copy to review and another to giveaway to one of my readers!  To enter, comment with why you want to read or why you want to win a copy to give to someone else.

The Power of Parents ~ MADD

My husband and I are not big drinkers.   Mainly weddings and occasional holidays.  My parents aren't big drinkers either.  I think this helped me not have a huge desire to drink.  Now that my oldest is 12, we are starting to bring up drinking, smoking and drugs a bit more often.  Trying to keep the lines of communication open.

I was surprised to learn that drinking is the #1 drug problem in youth right now.  Roughly 6,000 people will die this year in direct correlation with underage drinking—a statistic that can be greatly reduced with parental intervention.  Studies have shown that parents still have the most influence our kids on these issues.  We need to influence our kids to not drink and especially not drink and drive.

On October 27th, MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) launched The Power of Parents: It's Your Influence (www.thepowerofparents.org). This program has been designed to help provide us as parents with key tips, information, and tools to help us at home reach our teens and communicate the real life danger of underage alcohol use.

Please check out the above site and also the below resources.  When you are at the Power to Change website, take a look at the take action section.  There are several things you can do to help influence the importance of underage drinking  ~
