Booking through Thursday

Booking Through Thursday It happens even to the best readers from time to time… you close the cover on the book you’re reading and discover, to your horror, that there’s nothing else to read. Either there’s nothing in the house, or nothing you’re in the mood for. Just, nothing that “clicks.” What do you do?? How do you get the reading wheels turning again?

I get most of my books from the library, so I try to stay on top of having books checked out or requesting books to come in. There are times when I don't have anything to read, then I try to catch up on my magazines or my scrapbooking which seems to get put on hold whenever I really get into a book series. I try to stick to reading series like Stephanie Plum, Sue Grafton's books, China Bayles series, JD Robbs series about Eve & the like. I prefer mysteries & I like woman authors, so I am always on the look out for that on the web & as soon as I find a series that looks good, I check out the first book. I also…

Manic Monday 5/14

I have to go in for a thyroid ultrasound today & the first part of a nuclear scan/uptake test. I have to fast & I am starving, lol. I can go all day without eating, but tell me I can't eat & I am hungry, go figure :) I decided to once again try & do some of the memes that are out there for blogs...

Is it easier for you to forgive or to forget? I have a hard time forgiving, so I guess forget

Do you believe people can change? Not really, I wouldn't say that nobody could change, but I believe it is very hard too. Maybe for a little while, but most go back to there old ways (good or bad).

Has life made you more cynical or more hopeful? More cynical (but I do hold onto some hope)
