Life Lock Identity theft prevention program

In this day and age, we need to be more concerned about Identity theft then ever before. You have to protect your social security number like never before. There are mail scams, internet scams, phone scams and so much more. To help ease your mind, there are programs available to help protect your identity. Life Lock is one of those programs.

What LifeLock does is registers and monitors a fraud alert in your name with the top three credit reporting agencies. When a fraud alert is in place in your name, potential lenders must call you to verify that you are the one actually applying for the loan or line of credit. They work with the top three agencies: Experian, Equifax and Trans Union. Fraud alerts actually expire in 3 months. What they do is automatically renew it for you, so that your name is always being protected.

Life Lock also has a program to help protect you if your wallet is stolen. The program is called WalletLock and is a service they provide at no additional cost to you. If your purse or wallet are stolen, all you have to do is call Life Lock. They take care of the long task of canceling and notifying banks and credit cards for you.

What does all this cost then? It used to cost $10 a month or $110 a year. Life Lock is currently running a great promotion. You can try Life Lock for the first 30 days free, then it is only $9 a month or $99 for one year. That is a $21 savings on a year service!

They also offer a kids plan that is $2.25 a month or $22.50 a year (Savings of $7.50 for one year).

If you are looking for more information on this service, you can check out LifeLock Reviews.

We have LifeLock and I think it is a great service. I made a large purchase on my credit card and I was contacted by the bank because I had a "fraud" alert with LifeLock. It's also practically impossible for someone to open a credit card in your name because they need to know personal information about you. I highly recommend it.
