Review & Giveaway ~ Preserve Toothbrushes

I received some Preserve toothbrushes to try out recently thanks to Mom Central. These unique toothbrushes are made by the company Recycline. Preserve products are made from 100% recycled plastics and 100% post-consumer paper. All products are also made in the USA!

The toothbrush handle is made from 100% recycled plastics. They have a partnership with Stonyfield Farm, so they are actually using yogurt cups to make the handle. The packaging is also a reusable carrying case which I love.

The Preserve tooth brush was developed by dentists and engineers. The dentist-recommended 45° curved handle and soft bristles guarantee a thorough and even cleaning of your teeth.
My favorite feature of this brush is actually the angle. It makes it very easy to get your back teeth. It is also makes it really easy to clean the roof of your mouth (supposed to help allergy sufferers). The only downside I have found to the toothbrush is the head seems just a tiny bit too small for me. It really isn't an issue, I'm just used to the Colgate 360 which has quite a bit larger head.
These come in in seven vivid colors, and they are available at Target stores. When it is time to replace your toothbrush (dentists recommend switching it every three months) send the toothbrush and case back to Preserve using their postage-paid label to be re-processed into plastic lumber for picnic tables, boardwalks and decks.

Features:
Handle is made from 100% recycled plastic, including Stonyfield Farm® yogurt cups
Curved, easy to grip handle makes it easy to reach every part of your teeth and gums
Soft, virgin nylon bristles placed in a tri-level configuration with softer outer rows to protect your gums and tooth enamel
Available in Medium, Soft, and Ultrasoft
Recycled Recyclable Made in the USA cruelty-free

If you’d like to try it out for yourself, print out this coupon for $1 off the purchase of 2 Preserve Toothbrushes at any Target nationwide.

I've gotten "greener" with my cosmetics and skincare if that counts. ;)

Believe it or not, recycling is not a common practice in our community. We are putting together a committee promote recycling in our townhome complex.

We recycle. We replaced our fridge with a more efficient one and gave the old one away to a family on FreeCycle.

We've tried to cut way down on using plastic wrap and foil and are trying to store things in plastic or glass containers with lids instead.

Cool toothbrush, I think I would really like the smaller brush head - those bigger toothbrushes always feel like they're banging on my wisdom teeth 'cause they're too big for the back of my mouth.

All the light bulbs in my house are now energy efficient. I would also say recycling but we've been doing that for years.

Cool toothbrush. Wish other companies had relationships like this with others.
We use the CFL bulbs, recycle (not common here), shred paper for use in the garden or critter homes, watch electric usage, use non-toxic cleaners... reuse & repurpose things (most important) and just really try to cut back on consumption in general.
Thanks for the op to win!

I love this concept. We recycle quite a bit in New Jersey. We have to, or the state with rapidly decompose and fall into the Ocean.

We put a huge clothesline in the backyard and stopped drying clothes in the dryer. We recycle all cans and bottles (we're one of the few states that charge bottle deposits to ensure that.) I just think about my grandkids coming along and I want this earth to be a healthy place for them. That's huge motivation for me.

I'm ashamed to admit it, but I & the people who live with me have never been very good at constantly conserving energy, so we've recently done some research and begun doing so!

Thanks for the giveaway. Count me in. My Green tip is for cleaning. Baking soda and vinegar are the best cleaners around. Hands down. They will clean just about anything you can imagine.

Compost everything we have ,its so much easier and I don;t buy alot of prepackaged foods, too much waste

calgirl said...

We have planted ground covering herbs and flowers in place of our lawn. The plants are more drought tolerant, do not need to be mown and fragrent when walked on.

We used no-till this year to help conserve water and gas (its a type of farming where you leave the weeds in place, takes less tilling)

My favorite thing to do for the environment is I compost. Good for the environment and good for my yard.

use the back of old printed paper to save on printer paper, it really helps when u have to print something that you know you're going to be throwing away.

An easy tip for being green is to drive less. Especially with gas prices being as high as they are, I think this is an easy way for people to help the environment out just a little bit. This is a great giveaway and I really hope I win. I would really like to try out these toothbrushes. Thanks.

I do not use lightbulbs that contain mercury because they are more dangerous to our planet; instead I stick with my old light bulbs and turn off the the lights more.
