Grandma D's Evergreen Wreath + Contest!

Image
Last week, I received my Oregon Evergreen Wreath in the mail. When I opened my box, it instantly felt like Christmas. We do not use a real tree, so it was such a treat to have a real wreath!

Grandma D's Tree and Wreath Farm is located in Silverton, Oregan and have recently expanded their business to Arizona and Idaho and is run by 5th generation family owners.

The wreath is just gorgeous. Very full, well made. My daughter just loved the pinecones and the big red velvet bow. You can tell this was made with care. It was so lush in fact, it wouldn't fit on our door :) This ended up working out well though because we hung it on our garage. We have already received compliments from neighbors, and even my Grandma noticed it when she pulled up on Thanksgiving.

Want one of these beauties for yourself? Grandma D's is offering my readers free shipping on orders in the US. Just use coupon code W0834.

Wouldn't this make a great Christmas present as well. Send an early Chr…

Review ~ Canasta - Hand & Foot card game

Image
I had the opportunity to try the new Hand and Foot Canastafrom Marina Games thanks to the Family Review Network recently. I've never played any version of Canasta, so was excited to add a new game to our family time.

Canasta is a card game that is similar to, but more complex, than Rummy. In a Canasta game, players use matching cards to form melds and then play combinations of wild and matching cards to empty their hands and go out. This card game likely originated somewhere in South America before making its way to North America where it became very popular in the 1950s. The difference in this version from other forms of Canasta are that with this game, the players are each dealt two stacks of cards – the ‘hand’ and the ‘foot’. Players can’t draw and play cards from their ‘foot’ stacks until all of the cards in their hands have been used. The goal in Canasta Hand & Foot is to build rows and books of cards between partners. Cards have assigned values, and there are wild cards …

Book Review ~ Knit Two (Knitting Club)

Image
I was sent a copy of the brand new book, Knit Two by Kate Jacobs thanks to Mom Central. I was really excited to read this book. Knitting clubs are so similar to scrapbook crops, I knew I could get into this book about friendship. Knit Two was released today, November 25th. It is the sequel to The Friday Night Knitting Club.

Knit Two, takes place 5 years later. This time, 18-year-old Dakota runs her mother’s knitting store part-time with the help of the knitting club. With a focus on the challenges, joys, and friendships of these characters, this book is a powerful read for any woman. Although those who read the first book will be especially captivated by the continuation, even new readers will find countless things to love. Few novels these days are a must read, but, for any woman who understands the power of friendship, this should be one of them.

I loved this book so much, I went to the library to get A Friday Night Knitting Club! It is a quick read that makes you feel good as …

TinyPrints.com Coupon Codes

Yesterday I pulled out the black blanket to take my girls Holiday Pictures. I still have to edit them, but I think I got some good shots. I plan on ordering my TinyPrints.com Christmas cards this week. I am so excited because they are such a high quality cards. These will be the nicest cards I've ever sent out~

Back when I was holding the contest for the $50 gift certificate, Tiny Prints mailed me a bunch of samples. I was sold the second I opened the envelope. The cards have a great feel to them, which I love being a scrapbooker. Others scrappers will know what I'm talking about, lol. They also had great color, just overall excellent cards!

I spent at least an hour going through the cards, I just cannot decide what I want to go with. There are so many great designs. Feel free to help me out, I'm thinking I'm going with the 1 photo design. My 7 year old is wearing Pink & Black and my 11 year old is wearing Black & Cream.

Right now, Tiny Prints is havin…
