More Cami Updates

Sorry for all the posts. I had some review deadlines and I didn't want to fall much farther behind. I had some great products to check out, so hopefully you will take a second to read through them. Plus some contests!

Cami got to come home the other day. Her first night home, she went to bed super early. Then she woke up early and had a hard time. She said she was looking for the button to put her bed up and for her daddy to give her a snack. She was crying for awhile and didn't know why.

The day went well, but last night she woke up throwing up. Seems she has the flu maybe or just all the meds, etc. Her breathing is still hard, but her lung is showing improvements.

We got hit with a major snow storm. All schools were closed. I called the doctor and they said yeah bring her right it. Took an hour and half to get her ready & get our car uncovered. I think the nurse was mad, but we really went as fast as we could. We actually had to have a Jeep push our car out of the sub division. The doctor got her to eat a Popsicle, she said if she could keep that down she could go home. She kept it down and had to get two breathing treatments.

The doctor decided she needed another x-ray. We had to go to the local Children's center that is about half hour away. The drive was tough, but we made it. The x-ray was super quick & they were so friendly. She even got a brand new Ty bear & 3 new books. Children's is just so generous, really has helped out with all this!

She is doing ok right now. She keeps saying her belly hurts, but she hasn't thrown up since early morning. She lost 3lbs as well.

Thanks to everyone for the comments and well wishes!

Parents Look-at-Me Camera

If you are looking for a great present for a toddler, Parents has done it again. They just released the Look-at-me camera for 12 months and up. The camera is sold exclusively at Target for only $9.99!

The look-at-me camera is made to simulate a real camera, it encourages imaginative play as little ones can push the buttons that makes real shutter noises or play pretend paparazzi with “runway” music. The fish eye lens in the front allows the child to see a mirrored image of themselves as they “take photos”. I know my girls always wanted to play with my camera, so having a pretend camera is the perfect solution. The fish eye lens in the front is a lot of fun for little ones as well!

Thanks to Team Mom for partnering with Parents for this fun review!

I heart Bowheads ~ Adorable Hair Accessories for Girls

I came across I heart bowheads during a bloggy giveaway. Holly ended up sending me these adorable Christmas ponytails for my 7 year old.

The ponies are well made & just adorable. Holly uses a nice thick elastic which I loved. Not those flimsy ones that start to stretch after a few uses. It is full of Christmas themed ribbons. Cami loves pigtails, so these were perfect. She has already worn them to dance, school, her Christmas concert and she wants to wear them for Christmas of course.

I heart Bowheads sells a wide range of hair accessories at affordable prices. You can shop through her blog or through her Funky Finds shop. You can order one of the pre-made designs or custom make something!

Updates

Cami is showing improvement. She is getting another x-ray tomorrow with a good chance of coming home!

She is getting antsy & cranky, but handling it all well. Today she received an Ariel doll (barbie size) so she was excited. She also got to help a women sew a pillow case for her out of fabric she picked. They have such wonderful activities & volunteers, it is amazing.

Keith is staying overnight again. Aly missed yesterday because she got 4 shots at her 11 year checkup + didn't sleep well worrying about Cami. Oh my did she have homework tonight. I left the hospital to a snow storm. Made it to dance with a minute to spare. We got home & did home work for about 2 hours & didn't even finish. On top of that, she had did homework after school before dance. I sent a few emails to teachers, hopefully they let her go the day & don't give her 0's.

I have a backlog of reviews, so as soon as I'm back watch for those :) In the meantime, check for the current contests! I'm hoping to have time in the next day or so to get the recent closed contests figured out. Sorry about that to everyone that has entered.

Another update, I got ahold of someone at Amazon. I received a refund on my order that was shipped to the WRONG STATE. Bad news though, i can't get the needed items because they are out of stock. Bummer! Cami will be upset when she doesn't get her new Peek a Boo playset. I paid with gc's so I can't go to the store to buy it either. We have no cash or even credit for this christmas. I only had some Amazon gc's saved up. Oh well, what can you do?

Collapsed Lung & Rasheed Wallace

Cami came home from school on Friday saying she got sick in gym. She said during a game she got knocked in the chest & hit in the head. Then she said that made her sick. She was having asthma symptoms, and she was mainly complaining about her head, so I didn't think much of it. I figured it was just the time of year for colds/flu, etc.

Then Saturday she laid down most of the day. Even when she is super sick, she never just lays around. That night her breathing got really bad, I was doing treatments every couple hours with little help. On Sunday I took her to the hospital. After about 6 hours & crappy experience we found out that she had a collapsed left lung. She had to be taken to Children's hospital by Ambulance.

She was freaked at first, but I told her it would be fun & cool. She pretty much enjoyed it, just was very tired. It was almost midnight by then. Now she is staying at the hospital, it is very nice. Today the Detroit Pistons were coming to visit. Rasheed Wallace came to visit her. He gave her a red teddy bear with a pistons bib on it, a t-shirt that he autographed, a paper he autographed. He took a picture & autographed it. Then he gave her a Cinderella polly pocket type doll with a tea pot set that is for the girls & flips for the little dolls. It was so nice, really made her day!

She is being so spoiled there. The gave her some crafts to do, they gave her a cute Hannah Montana book, the one with the secret pen & pages to keep. It is very nice.

She is doing very well, however her breathing doesn't seem to be getting better in my opinion. When the oxygen is on, she is at 100%. It really hurts her ears though, so if she pulls it down, it is immediately down to 95%. If we let her keep it around her neck for a few minutes, it goes down to 92%. They are doing more chest x-rays tomorrow, she may need to have surgery.

If I'm not around, that is why. Hopefully she will recover on her own & can come home soon without surgery.
