Dance Me Daddy Book Review & Giveaway - CLOSED

May I have this dance, Dad?

Award-winning singer / songwriter celebrates fathers and daughters in new children's book Dance Me, Daddy (Zonderkidz™, May 2009, 978-0-310-71762-1, $16.99, Hardcover). Cindy Morgan celebrates the bond between fathers and daughters everywhere. It is based on a song that will be played for father/daughter wedding day dances for years to come: "King of the World," also written by Morgan.

With lively illustrations by Philomena O'Neill, Dance Me, Daddy recalls the days when Daddy was the "King of the World." The final copy of the book will include a CD with the song "King of the World" performed by Point of Grace, as well as a reading of the book by Morgan.

From their first dance together to the one on their wedding day, Dance Me, Daddy encourages fathers and daughters to remember those special moments shared between them.

"I wanted this book to reflect how blessed we are to have such special fathers in our lives," says Morgan. "I am so thankful to be here and have a wonderful husband, who is a great Daddy to our two healthy daughters! It's my hope that Dance Me, Daddy and 'King of the World' can help us all reflect on what gifts these relationships are."

What a great book to read together on Father's Day. You can purchase it at Zondervan for $16.99. You can also purchase Dance Me, Daddy at Amazon and other fine retailers.

I would love to win this book. We love reading in this house.

My dad was an awesome, funny man when we were kids; then mom died and although we have a relationship I don't always feel he was there for me. But he was a joker and always dancing and laughing.

My husband, is the hero dad. He is strong and loving. My daughter never worries when dad is around and I hope she always feels that love.

He is always calling her beautiful and his princess and telling her that he will take care of her. I love watching my husband spend time with my kids. My son wants to be just like him. He is a strong, silent guy but when he is around them he is fun and loving. Everything I would want for them.

My 9-year-old son's father disappeared out of his life when he was 9 months old but when he was 13 months old I met my current boyfriend and he has taken great care of him since. My son knows him as dad and they call each other father and son. He has done all the things for him his real dad hasn't and has never stopped loving or caring for him.

Sometimes he puts her shoes on the wrong feet and her clothes on backwards, but my husband loves our daughter dearly! When they play "Tickle Bug" together, her face lights up and her giggles can be heard all through the house.
