Electrolux Virtual Lemonade Stand Campaign

With summer, one of the things I think of is Lemonade stands. I have fond memories of holding them, and my kids do as well. It is something they look forward to each summer.

Electrolux and Kelly Ripa must feel the same way because they are kicking off their Virtual Lemonade Stand campaign to drive awareness and raise funds for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. Starting this month, you can visit to design and open your own virtual lemonade stand and even pick the flavors of lemonade you want to feature at your stand, like Sparkling Ginger or Rosemary Watermelon. It is super easy to make, it took me only a couple minutes!

For every stand opened, Electrolux will donate $1 to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF). In addition, you can help the cause even more by buying and sending virtual glasses of lemonade to your friends and family, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting OCRF. This is a great way to celebrate the beginning of summer, let friends know you’re t…

Review ~ Katka by Stephen R. Meier

I had read a review on Katka awhile ago that I really enjoyed. The book sounded really good, so when I was actually asked to review it myself ~ I was thrilled. Normally I got asked to review books I had never heard of, so it was nice to get a chance at one already on my TBR pile :)

Katka is a novella by Stephen Meier. It is a gritty, edgy novel of greed, love, and swindles gone very wrong. When Gavin and his girlfriend team with her best friend Simona to pull a phony mail order bride scam in the Czech Republic, Gavin gets in way over his head in the high-stakes and dangerous business of selling wives. When Gavin talks Katka, his girlfriend, into becoming part of the merchandise, planning to bait-n-switch the client in the end, things go awry and Katka disappears with the client. Partnering with the jealous and volatile Simona, Gavin begins to lament this risky life he has chosen, but finds the money is something he can’t walk away from. Gavin’s doubts grow; the con begins to…

Don't Bite Me! Patch Review & Giveaway

I love summer, but honestly I am not an outdoors person at all. Why, I hate bugs especially mosquitoes. Mom Fuse brought to my attention an amazing product called the Don't Bite Me! Patch.

This patch has two ingredients only!

Product FeaturesWaterproofLasts up to 36 hoursTotal Body CoverageClear, Discreet PatchSafe for ChildrenNo spraysNo lotions
No towelettesNaturalSimpleSafe

How It Works The Don't Bite Me! Patch uses a patent pending technology and formula to deliver natural ingredients into the body via a topical patch application. Only two ingredients are in the patch, Vitamin B1 and Aloe. Simply apply one patch two hours prior to enjoying time outdoors(it takes that long to become effective). The Vitamin B1 then travels head to toe. Then the body's natural response to excess Vitamin B1 is to excrete it through the pores, covering up the carbon dioxide that we emit naturally. (Carbon dioxide is what attracts insects.) This process makes an invisible barrier around the bod…
