I started blogging to help me record my scrapbooking, and family history. It quickly turned to more though. I really enjoyed posting and interacting with other people online that shared interests. I've been a stay at home mom since January 2002, and have added to our income through auctions and websites. I quickly realized I could add my affiliate links to my sidebars and do reviews for cool new products.
There is so much to learn though. I've only worked on my blog part time and sometimes less so the money is pretty small still at this point. There is a new course by Ashworth College, which actually gives you an accredited Professional Blogging Career Diploma. You will actually learn in short 6 months all of the latest blogging techniques from people with years of experience. What I really love about this course is you can start it anytime and work at your own pace. Plus included in your tuition is hosting for one year!
Why take years to learn how to make money? I started blogging in 2006 and wish this course was offered then. I wouldn't have had to waste so much time trying to figure things out on my own!
