100 Books in a Year Challenge 2011 Books & Movies

Image
I was pretty bummed with myself when I counted out my books and realized I didn't even hit 50.  I'm pretty sure I forgot to record some of them, but still.  I'm going to attempt to over double my reading this year by joining the 100 Books in a Year Reading Challenge over at Book Chick City.  We will see how close I come :)

Adoption Nation by Adam Pertman

Image
In this revised edition of Adam Pertman's award-winning book, first published in 2000, readers will find updated information on every aspect of adoption and its changing role in American society. Pertman, a Pulitzer Prize-nominated journalist and father of two adopted children, offers an unflinching study of adoption policy and processes.I was asked to review this book, and I found it really interesting and powerful.  Adoption Nation goes through the adoption process in the United States.  If you have anything to do with Adoption, I suggest you read Adoption Nation!Like this post ~
