Things That Make Scents Soy Candles Review & Giveaway - CLOSED

Did you know candles can be harmful to you, your house and even the environment? This is something you probably don't think of. Things that make Scents has done some great research on this.

  • Soy wax burns cleaner resulting in less toxins for you, your children and pets to breathe, not to mention not damaging your home with black soot all over walls, ceilings, drapes, carpets, furniture and electronics
  • Soy wax is non-toxic and over time it won’t harm the environment making soy candles a “greener” choice
  • Soy wax burns cooler providing a 20% - 50% longer burn time so you get more for your money
  • Stronger scent throw cold and while burning means a more prominent scent throughout your home or office
  • Soy beans are a renewable resource and are grown in the USA which support american farmers and the american economy
  • Soy wax will clean up with soap and hot water

Things That Make Scents sent me some candles to try out. They sell a wide range of candles including Jar Candles, Tapers, Tarts, Waxed dipped critters (bears pictured) and even soaps. The fragrance list is huge! I had a hard time deciding on my favorite fragrances.

I ended up getting the Sunflower Honey Soy Jar candle. It has a wonderful scent that reminds me of summer in a beautiful shade of yellow (my favorite color!). The jar candle burns very nice with a steady sent.

Thinks That Make Scents started the OhSoy! Candle line in 2002. The owner Janine became frustrated with the soot stains paraffin candles left on her ceiling. After doing much research, she discovered that soybean candles were a cleaner, healthier alternative with an added bonus. Soy wax candles are more cost-effective than their petroleum-based paraffin counterparts and are healthier for our customers. She had such great internet success, a storefront was opened in New Jersey in 2007.

Things That Make Scents has graciously donated a $25 gift certificate to one of my readers.

To enter ~

Stop by Things That Make Scents and tell me one or two things you would use with your gift certificate if you won.

Meditating Children Review & Giveaway

Meditation is a practice of concentrated focus upon a sound, object, visualization, the breath, movement, or attention itself in order to increase awareness of the present moment, reduce stress, promote relaxation, and enhance personal and spiritual growth.

Meditation isn't just for spiritual growth, it does wonders for stress and well being as well. Even just taking a few minutes to clear your mind, concentrate on your breathing really helps with stress. When dealing with your kids, this is great to do if they are acting up & you feel like you are about to lose it.

It isn't just wonderful for adults though, kids can really benefit from it as well. Energetic Solutions has realized this and made a great little cd for kids called ~ Meditating Children.

This CD is about breath and allowing children to get into a habit of not holding on to issues that arise during the day. Best used in a seated position.

This cd is only about 15 - 16 minutes long. You mainly listen to a nice, quite, soothing voice. I tried the cd with both my daughters (age 7 & 11). I found it was great during home work time and also at bedtime.

If your child struggles with sitting down for homework, gets too hyper or struggles with sleep time, I really think you will enjoy this cd. It is only $9.95 or you can instant download it for only $3.50

Energetic Solutions has a great range of cds. They have several available for download for as low as $3. I want to buy the Clutter No More next :)

Thanks to Mom Fuse and Energetic Solutions, I have a Meditating Children cd to giveaway to one of my readers.

To enter ~

Visit Energetic Solutions and tell me about another product that you would not mind trying. If nothing catches your eye, tell me why you want this cd.
