The Changing Room (A Mother's Journal of Gratitude to Her Little Girl, By Cristina Carlino)

Create, express and forever capture in your own words, drawings, photos and letters, this moment in time when you are the mother of your little girl in her first precious years.

Cristina Carlino shares pure and personal insights, questions and images from her story and THE CHANGING ROOM is for yours. More than the traditional keepsake of "Baby's First Years", this is the first book for yours!

"I can think of no greater gift you can give yourself now and your daughter one day than a way to see deeper inside her soul and yours, too. You have no idea how much I wish I had a journal like this from my own mother." - Cristina Carlino Cristina Carlino is the mother of a little girl, a daughter, a poet, a social entrepreneur and the founder and creator of one of the most beloved brands in cosmetic history.

This book is not like the typical Baby's First Years book.  It is an interactive journal that will guide you with thought provoking questions.  A real keepsake, plus a beautiful book as well.

The fifth annual R.eaders I.mbibing P.eril Challenge ~ R.I.P. V

Can you believe it is already back to school time and fall?  I had a great summer, wish it lasted longer. However I totally love the fall. If it weren't that pesky school getting in the way, it would be my all time favorite part of the year!
That also means it is time for my favorite reading challenge ~  The fifth annual R.eaders I.mbibing P.eril Challenge or R.I.P V for short.
Once again, I'm joining in for the Peril the First.

Read four books, any length, that you feel fits my very broad definition of scary. It could be Stephen King or Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Ian Fleming or Edgar Allan Poe…or anyone in between.
This year, it totally snuck up on me, so I don't have a list yet.
I just stumbled onto a free e-book though, White Witch Pond by Jody Kihara.
Mid-grade ghost story Shaya Solen’s walk home from school takes her past an eerie pond, where one day she finds an old bracelet made of raven feathers. Soon, strange events begin to unfold: a shadowy figure glimpsed across the water, ominous nightmares haunting Shaya, and rumours of a witch who once drowned in the pond. With the discovery of a strange family connection to the witch, Shaya is drawn into a mystery that must be solved before the approaching Halloween, which is the thirteenth anniversary of the witch’s death, and Shaya’s birthday.

Mabel's Labels

Get the Ultimate Back-to-School Combo

I've been using Mabel’s Labels for over a year now and love them for school!  They are amazing on refillable water bottles.  I dishwash them all the time & have no issues in over a year of use.

The clothing labels hold up well, I use them on the backpack also.  Oh & the shoe labels are great.  I use them in shoes and dance shoes.  All hold up great.  They are pretty amazing in my book!

NutraSea Kids ~ Omega 3 for Kids

NutraSea Kids, Omega-3 Supplement with EPA, DHA, GLA and Vitamin D, VeOver the past few years, increasing research has shown that essential fatty acids (EFAs) play an important role in our children's development. But getting kids to eat fish 2-3 times a week isn't an easy task in most families.   The company Ascenta's has a new product on the market called NutraSea Kids supplement.  Moms can provide their kids EFAs in Very Berry taste and has Pure Check quality assurance. Since many kids have difficulty swallowing soft gels and capsules, NutraSea Kids' liquid format makes it not only easy to take on its own, but also to add into smoothies, milkshakes, yogurt and other food favorites.

NutraSea Kids is recommended for children ages 2 - 13.  They just take one teaspoon (5ml) daily, and that gives them there daily omega-3 and vitamin D to help their development.

Every NutraSea product undergoes rigorous testing to ensure purity and quality, the Pure Check logo featured on all NutraSea products guarantees that they have been independently tested and certified for quality, purity and potency — a level of quality that sets Ascenta apart from its from competitors. For more information about the quality guarantee of Ascenta products and the benefits of essential fatty acids, visit their product website here.

Ascenta Health - Nutrasea+D Omega-3, 6.76 fl oz liquidMy oldest will not drink any type of liquid, so she wouldn't try it at all.  However my 9 year old did try out the NutraSea Kids.   After she drank it, I asked her what she thought.  She said "It has no flavor", my husband and I kept asking what she meant.  She said that she couldn't describe it other then no flavor.  Then I decided to try out the NutraSea + D that I was sent as a thank you for my review.  She was right, no flavor.  It is the weirdest stuff I have ever tasted.  It has a bit of an oily texture in your mouth.  It is super hard to describe. The NutraSea liquids are definately not unbareable though.  My daughter has continued to take it every day.   I personally couldn't get over the oily, a bit fishy feeling in my mouth, but my husband didn't mind it.  Since the Omega-3 is beneficial to the brain, my husband decided that he could really use it (he had a bad brain injury last year).

I would certainly recommend the NutraSea Kids and adult line of products.  They are high quality, and have great safety standards in place.  I like the idea that with the liquid versions, you can add them to smoothies, etc.  My oldest loves smoothies, so this is a good way to sneak it in for her (and me).
I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of NutraSea Kids campaign and received NutraSea samples to facilitate my candid review. Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.
