Halls Cough Drop Review & Giveaway

Just last week, my oldest got really sick.  Since we have already started getting positive flu tests in our area, I took her to the doctor right away.  She was tested for strep and flu, and thankfully she was negative on both.  However, she did have a terrible cold with a really red soar throat.  Luckily for her, I was ready thanks to Halls and Family Review Network.  I was recently sent a bag of HALLS® Mentho-Lyptus® Cough Drops and a stick of HALLS® Mentho-Lyptus® Cough Drops in cherry flavor.

With Cold and flu season upon us and ragweed and hay fever stirring up allergies, Halls is a great product for both. Colds and allergies can cause people to suffer from coughs, sore throats and nasal congestion. If you suffer from upper respiratory discomforts you can look to HALLS® Cough Drops for fast and comforting relief. HALLS® Cough Drops are great for fighting coughs, soothing sore throats and cooling nasal passages. The cough drops feature Advanced Vapor Action® formula so that they start working within 10 seconds for fast relief.

HALLS® has been a trusted brand for over 100 years, they actually have a fascinating history. Did you know that HALLS® didn't start out selling cough drops? The Hall brothers founded HALLS® in 1893 in Great Britain where they manufactured soaps and jams. Later they began producing candy products. It wasn't until the 1930's that HALLS® invented its patented Mentho-Lyptus
® formula, using a combination of menthol and eucalyptus and began producing their popular cough drops.

HALLS® Cough Drops are available in 9-piece sticks and resealable bags in a variety of sizes and flavors. They are also available in sugar free varieties.

Halls Mentho-lyptus Sugar Free Black Cherry Cough Drops Twenty 9-drop Packs

My daughter wouldn't try the ones in the bag, she said she'd save them for Cherry ran out :)  She did finish the Cherry stick though while being sick.  While not always pleasant, the Halls do work.  She said she didn't mind the Cherry flavor.  Her throat was really red, the nurse thought she had strep.  Halls Cough Drops work great for school or work as well.  They are easy to stick in your pocket, and work so quickly.  * If you are sending them to school, check your school policy first.  Our elementry school makes you sign a waiver and the cough drops have to stay in the office.  *

Now onto what you are waiting for, the GIVEAWAY!  HALLS® has generously donated (2) prize packs that contain 10 Halls Sticks in each to my US readers.

To enter the giveaway !~ Check out all the HALLS® products and leave a comment here with which product and flavor you would like to try.

Gain “Sniff, Sniff, Hooray” ~ Giveaway

I love cleaning products that have great scents to them.  Normally, fragrance gives me headaches, but for some reason in cleaning products it doesn't bother me.

When I think of yummy smelling cleaning products, the first company to come to mind is Gain.  My Blog Spark recently asked me to try a bottle of the NEW Gain Dishwashing Liquid in “Original Fresh Scent”.

I was sent a big box from Gain.  When I opened it, I couldn't help buy smile because the box was cheering.  Yes, there was a recording in the box Cheering.  Safely tucked in the box was my Gain dishwashing liquid along with some Walmart gift cards to giveaway to my readers + some cool Gain tees.  My teen has already claimed the purple one and my brother and husband tried snatching one until they saw a bit girly Gain on the front, lol.

We use the dishwasher for most of our dishes, but hand wash all the pots and pans and various other dishes throughout the week.  The Gain Original Fresh Scent has worked great on our pans, including the Muffin pan for the 4 sets of cupcakes I had to make last week.  There was some baked on cupcakes on that pan let me tell you after going in the oven 4 times!  The scent has left a pleasant smell in the kitchen that I am loving and recommending!

For more information about the new Gain Dishwashing Liquids, visit, and be sure to “Like” Gain on Facebook and follow Gain on Twitter!

Giveaway ~ I have (2) $5 Walmart Gift Cards to giveaway to (2) lucky readers so you can try Gain for yourself.

Just Visit and leave a comment here, telling me what Gain scent you like to try.
